Committee Charge:

 

Committee on 
Curricular Revision and Review

1.    To recommend changes in programs of study as proposed by the department administratively responsible for those programs.

2.    To work cooperatively with the Associate Dean for Career and Technical Programs and the Director of Transfer and Job Placement in the development of data and information to indicate the need for new programs of study in career education.

3.    To receive and consider proposals on programs of study and courses.

4.    To make recommendations on these proposals to the Advisory Council.

5.    To consider proposed courses to be added or removed from the courses satisfying the categories and subcategories of the Core Curriculum leading to the Associate Degree and to recommend these courses to the Advisory Council.

6.    To review cost data resulting from addition of courses or programs.

7.    To serve as an advisory body for the Dean of Academic Affairs.

8.    At the first meeting of each year the committee will elect a Chairperson, establish appropriate deadlines, and update its bylaws.  A copy of the committee's bylaws and deadlines must be distributed to the President of the College, the Federation President, and to the Chairperson of the Advisory Council to the President.

9.    Post copies of all committee agendas, minutes and reports on the identified bulletin board.  In addition, forward copies of committee agendas, minutes and reports to the President of the College, the Federation President, and the Chairperson of the Advisory Council at the same time that such material is distributed to the members of the committee.

10.   At the end of each academic year, the committee will prepare an annual report on committee activities.  Copies of this report must be forwarded to the President of the College, the Federation President and the Advisory Council to the President.
