Committee Charge:

 

Committee on Cultural Programming

  1. To serve the College and community through a balanced program of offerings covering a broad range of categories making up the cultural programming spectrum of the College--students, faculty, staff, and community interests.

  2. To assist and guide students in finding and developing cultural programs consistent with their indicated interests.

  3. To maintain accurate records of income and expenditures for activities sponsored by the Committee.

  4. To establish procedures through which all College segments may recommend events as cultural programming offerings.

  5. To determine a recommended budget by May 15 for the following academic year and distribute it to appropriate offices.

  6. To serve as host at cultural programming events sponsored by this Committee

  7. To coordinate, in cooperation with the appropriate office, the Cultural Incentive Grants.
  8. At the first meeting of each year the committee will elect a Chairperson, establish appropriate deadlines, and update its bylaws.  A copy of the committee's bylaws and deadlines must be distributed to the President of the College, the Federation President, and to the Chairperson of the Advisory Council to the President.
  9. To post copies of all committee agendas, minutes and reports on the identified bulletin board.  In addition, forward copies of committee agendas, minutes and reports to the President of the College, the Federation President, and the Chairperson of the Advisory Council at the same time that such material is distributed to the members of the committee.
  10. At the end of each academic year, the committee will prepare an annual report on committee activities.  Copies of this report must be forwarded to the President of the College, the Federation President and the Advisory Council to the President.
